BETHEL, OHIO – Grant Career Center is celebrating an exciting milestone as 70 students have been placed in work-based learning opportunities by the end of the first quarter of the 2026–2027 school year. This accomplishment reflects the dedication of our students, the commitment of our staff, and the incredible support of our local business and industry partners.

Work-based learning is an essential part of career-technical education at Grant Career Center. These opportunities allow students to take the skills they have developed in their classrooms and career-technical labs and apply them in real-world workplace settings.

Through these experiences, students gain valuable industry knowledge, develop professional relationships, and strengthen essential employability skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, time management, and responsibility.

For many students, work-based learning serves as a bridge between high school and their future careers, providing valuable experience and opportunities to build connections with potential employers.

Our Business Partners Make It Possible

We could not achieve this milestone without the incredible support of our business and community partners.

Grant Career Center currently has partnerships with more than 50 businesses and organizations providing work-based learning opportunities across a wide range of industries, including healthcare, construction, manufacturing, automotive technology, agriculture, childcare, information technology, and more.

These businesses do much more than provide students with a place to work. They invest their time, knowledge, and resources into mentoring the next generation of skilled professionals. Their commitment helps ensure our students graduate with the technical skills, professional experience, and confidence needed to succeed in today's workforce.

The continued growth of work-based learning opportunities also reflects the strong relationships Grant Career Center has established with employers throughout our region.

Building the Future Workforce

Reaching 70 student placements by the end of the first quarter is an exciting accomplishment, but it is only the beginning. Grant Career Center remains committed to expanding work-based learning opportunities and strengthening partnerships with local employers throughout the school year.

To our business and industry partners, thank you! Your willingness to open your doors, share your expertise, and invest in our students makes a lasting difference. These opportunities would not be possible without you.
