Photos Album Updated 4/20 7Students and 10 Staff From Grant Career Center are Heading to Hazard, Kentucky to Help Restore a Home After Flooding
The catastrophic flooding that swept through Hazard, Kentucky last year left numerous families displaced and many homes severely damaged. But thanks to the efforts of Grant Career Center in Ohio, one family will be one step closer to returning home.
The trip to Hazard was part of Grant Career Center's ongoing effort to give back to the community and offer hands-on learning opportunities that may connect to the skills they have learned in their programs.
Grant Career Center students and staff left Grant on April 19th, 2023, and will return on April 21st. They have planned their first stop to be hosting a community picnic and distributing donated supplies at the Lost Creek Fire Department. Thank you to our community, who donated to our supply drive. Our efforts to restore a home on April 20th will have a significant impact on the lives of those affected by flooding. We wish them all the best in their restoration efforts and know that they will do an excellent job with the skills they have learned at Grant Career Center.
It's heartwarming to see students taking an active role in serving their community, and we are grateful to have such compassionate individuals in our communities. Grant students also hosted a community dinner, last night, and distributed cleaning supplies and food to those in need.

This is part of the school's ongoing effort to give back to the community and offer hands-on learning opportunities for students in various trades.
